Kling 3.0: longer clips and characters that stay the same
Kuaishou's model targets what most video AI fails at: length, and recognisability across several shots.

Why length is the real problem
Most video models produce clips a few seconds long. That is enough for an advertising sting, not for a story: as soon as several shots are cut together, changing faces, clothing and lighting stand out.
Kling aims exactly there. For its current generation the vendor states clips considerably longer than the market average, plus multi-shot sequences with a shared audio timeline and dialogue in several languages.
If that holds up in daily work it shifts the line between novelty and production: no longer gluing clip to clip, but planning a scene.
What that means in practice
For short narrative formats, music videos and product stories, the most laborious part falls away, namely stitching many fragments into something that looks like one piece.
The price is compute time. Longer clips need more of it, and billing runs on credits. If you work productively, measure consumption per usable result, not per generation.
One thing stays true regardless: a longer clip is not automatically a better clip. Composition, timing and editing still decide, and those still need a human with judgement.
Access and context
Kling is reachable both directly and through aggregating platforms, such as the interfaces described in our Higgsfield portrait and Krea portrait. For teams that is often the easier route, because several models can be compared under one subscription.
Compared with Runway, which we have tested, the difference lies less in the single frame than in stamina over time. Runway brings the more mature post-production tools.
Limits
People and hands stay error-prone, and so does text in the image. And as with every model: what is recognisable as a person may not be recreated without consent. The labelling obligation for synthetic content applies regardless of vendor, see our guide.
In short: the most promising answer to the length problem, with credit consumption as the cost risk. Runway remains the more mature environment for post-production.
